Even if the installer charge $70 an hour, that's 7 hours worth of installation. doesn't worry me paying the money, just don't like getiing ripped off and then start reading on this forum that guys have had them installed for $200.

The installer got back to me with a installed price of $1800-1900 not a fixed price, I think $500 for installation maybe a little step, has anyone else had a quote to install dvd and interface only?
  3. chrislak replied to a post in a topic in Audio & Visual
I'm having mine done as soon as the installer can get the interface, it's very funny how none of the recomended agents knew anything about this product, anyway may the force be with us. I'm going for the dvd not the satnav, I thought about satnav but when you think about how many times a year you normally open up a street directory for directions, for me maybe once or twice so the extra cost just don't add up.
  4. With 100% Sydney city driving I'm lucky to get 320k's from a tank and that's when DTE is at about 35k's. Not sure where some of your guys are getting these figures, I think I need to go to the doctor and get my right foot checked out, though my car is auto and I use sequential shift most of the time.

I finally had my tail shaft balanced today it was out by 14 grams, problem fixed, The funny thing is that the dealer had another car with a similar problem and the tail shaft balance didn't fix it, if only these dealers would bother to read this forum they might save them selves a sh.. load of time.

  16. My dealer told me the new calipers are made of softer material, he said the old caliper where made of a harder material, so what does that mean, I think if any of you guys do any track work you'll probably find the softer caliper may worp under above normal heat, like the bommadores do. I think I'll keep my original calipers with the DBA's, they seem to work very well unless anyone can prove otherwise.

--- Tiger Woods in Ireland --- On a golf tour in Ireland , Tiger Woods drives his BMW into a petrol station in a remote part of the Irish countryside. The pump attendant, obviously knows nothing about golf, greets him in a typical Irish manner completely unaware of who the golfing pro is. "Top of the mornin' to yer, sir" says the attendant. Tiger nods a quick "hello" and bends forward to pick up the nozzle. As he does so, two tees fall out of his shirt pocket onto the ground. "What are those?, asks the attendant. "They're called tees" replies Tiger. "Well, what on the god's earth are dey for?" inquires the Irishman. "They're for resting my balls on when I'm driving", says Tiger. "Fookin Jaysus", says the Irishman, "BMW thinks of everything!".
  18. Ninka, your running the same setup as I am now, what a difference. I've been trying to tell all the guys here but they still persist on waiting for the fix.

I bought new wheels for mine, but it's the tailshaft out of balance, goodluck getting it fixed I've been waiting for six weeks for the dealer to get the balancer in.
  20. My dba's are still working very well no shudder, people have been saying for several months that a fix is coming and coming, I wouldn't hold your breath for to much longer.
