Cam...... you have the best car in Stratties carpark, probs and all, apart from the stereo p1ssing you off,(and Ford customer service), is it really worth getting rid of ????? I, like you, have lost the art of tolerance, thanks to our line of work, but I'm sure you will eventually sort the problem out, and enjoy your T.
  2. It reminds me of when my brother used to work in wrecking yards, and he would give me a tour of the 'new arrivals' each couple of weeks and remembering blood stained trim and stuff.......
  3. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA...........I just did this to get my 100th post........
  4. ......Just about any inner west suburb in Sydney has the same problems, we only see them up here on Easter and Christmas holidays, thank fu(k.

It makes me wonder how many other owners, that are not even aware of this website, are having the same problems as many of our fellow members, and can't discuss it like we can. With 3208 members, which many, including myself don't actually own a T, it would be interesting to find out the actual sales to date of the XR6T. I personally think there is a high percentage of T's out there with problems like ones in these posts......
  8. Punch.....Look around at lots of caryards, there are a few T's on the secondhand market now, so it shouldn't be a problem to arrange a test drive, quite simply tell the salesperson that you are keen to buy this car, and after the drive say that you have a couple more to look at when they pressure you for a sale. I was lucky enough to test one from a Gosford dealer and ventured up to the ol' Pacific Hwy...... had a good test run. You must test one with these questions in mind.....
  9. This is the reason why you never buy at police auctions.......
  10. Hehehehehehe.......I've seen quite a few around in different locations with smashed lenses on them and 1 with black spraypaint all over lens........ My neighbor had a similar incident, with a clean record, sent off a letter and they wiped the fine!!!
  11. Car dealers ...... they probably picked it up for under $30k or cheaper at an auction. I was looking at a sedan turbo, at the dealers last week, 02 build, white, sss, no other options, 30,000 kms and they wanted $46k for it, could have a new one for near that price!!!
  12. .......Just when I was thinking this site could not be any better, now an upgrade ????????

  15. Although I was in Canberra this weekend, I didn't actually go to the summernats, I saw enough rice all through the streets of Canberra, maybe a couple of Aussie Muscle, but nearly ALL rice...... The funny thing was seeing plenty of speedchecks and broken down rice on the way home on the freeway.

  23. Cameron, I too rolled a car but landed on passenger side, my question is did you have to turn it off, cause mine was still idling and I reached up and turned ignition off, (funny but that's all I remember of it....). Good old Festy kept ya in 1 piece.

Unless your parents are heavy footed, I personally wouldn't worry too much, they are obviously driving the beast now with 240kw, are they handling that ok with a manual box? I'd say that they wouldn't be driving at high revs (high boost), I don't think there would be a huge power increase at low revs (< 2000) with the kit fitted, ( I'm probably wrong!!), but a twin map ECU would definately be the go. I am only going on about this due to the fact that my parents drove a few of my previous high powered cars and just didn't get near the peak power range at higher revs, they just putted around at their pace, (at least I think so !!!).
  25. Yea, Glenn......you nosey old woman!!!
