I see san almost every fcukin time im on prices hwy lol.. the last time was a few weeks or so ago outside the dandy town hall, and another time near the new car wash in doveton. what a bloody car! well done man, it stands out like nothing else.

your budget is decent.. just remember to leave money aside the your extended warranty, laptop bag, even wireless mouse and other things if u need them. (work at harvey norman, add-ons are our nature) lol nah u definately need the bag and warranty if u want something that should last u ages, look at the toshiba satellite a300/600. with 2.5ghz, 4 gb ram, 640gb hard drive, it's almost as powerful as Brian's car.

I dont have a cap.. was told I didnt need one by the guys at jb who I bought the amps and hu off. deep cycle and cap I'm happy doing. is there much work in replacing the alternator? is there much chance in stuffing up the electricals of the car by fitting a bigger one? I dont really want to replace something that's going to change the car in terms of driveability and reliability.

Recently upgraded the stereo in the xr.. Basically, running a dvd player off the premium screen, 2 sets of splits, a 600w RMS sub and 2 alpine v12 amps.. If I'm outside the car while its on and the stereo is cranked, I can hear the alternator whining with every bass note. Also, sometimes the car struggles to turn over and the alarm goes off when I try to start it. What kind of recommendations can you good people make to assist in the resolution of my situation? would a deep cell battery solve my problem? or do I need a bigger alternator? any info would be greatly appreciated. cheers, jet

theres some clips that hold in the carpet on the rear parcel shelf.. they look like plastic screws.. just pull them out, but be careful try not to damage the thread/teeth on them then just pull the carpet up and towards the front of the car. rest it on the back seat as u cant pull it completely out because the seat belts run through the carpet piece.

looks good .. I wouldnt mind having it done. in vic these days sneezing is illegal.. so I guess this would be too.

I use MB Quart and they are awesome.. abit pricey but you can import some off ebay pretty cheap, off a seller called indoaudio. JL Audio's are also pretty good, decently priced too.

I covered all the big holes in the bootlid.. and did quite abit inside the quarters and around there. fixed my numberplate, and now my fking spoiler rattles hard. might have to slap some deadening on it lol

I have 2 amps, upgraded speakers and a powerful sub I always leave the car on idle when running the system as I dont want to drain the battery. what should I do so that I can use the system while the car is off and still retain battery power? ive heared mixed reports about capacitors and some sort of yellow-top batteries.. can anyone shed some light ? cheers, jet.

Hey guys, just finished my install (will have pics and details up in a day or two) I have Alpine v12 4ch and mono amps running 2 sets of splits and sub respectively. The splits are MB Quart Reference series and the Sub is a Rockford Fosgate T1 12". Heres my problem... At low volumes, sub bass is killing the mids and highs from the splits.. Aat medium volumes the bass, mids and highs are equal.. And at high volume the splits just take over, the sub seems to be losing power. Any ideas with what the problem might be?
