Hi all, Just interested to know how many have made the change from T (or NA) to GT. How did you move your T and what are your thoughts now. The dark side is VERY strong.

Can't agree more. I was a bit disappointed with the Ford stand. I asked the guy in the merchanising section where all the XR6T stuff was and he replied .. "There is a hat". Even that had the "6" in RED. I replied under my breath that I think I bought the wrong car. I was really disappointed. The Expensive Daewoo stand was buzzing, as usual. Ford was outdone again I'm afraid.

Guys, As most of you know by my sig, I have an XR6T in Phantom and love it. I'd also love a GT .. Who wouldn't ?! But I've just come home from the Sydney Motor Show and apart for Porsches, Maseratis and Ferraris, if money was no object, I'd be grabbing the 285 R8 ClubSport. It just wreaks of grunt and performance. I know that is not the only reason why we spend a lot of money on cars but all I can say is that Expensive Daewoo have a real winner there.

He could have at least lit up the rears on the way out.

I'm in Sydney but have a good customer in Fyshwick so I take the T down there once every few months. It is a top drive to Canberra these days.

I am seriously thinking about the APS Phase II upgrade for my T. I don't like extra badges on my car like 330 or Phase II etc but I was wondering .... What if someone came up with a nice but subtle bonnet mod to make the T on steroids a little different to the standard T. I have a few ideas in mind but I'm not an artist although I'll give it a shot when I get a moment. I was thinking of an air intake of sorts, possibly one off centre but subtle. Any ideas or will this make the car look a little SIK MAYTE. And it would definately have to be done by professionals not one of these ugly stuck on things. Any ideas ??

Saw probably the best looking car I've seen for a while today. It was a Herrod enhanced GT-P. The colour was black and it had very distinctive silver with blue trim GT stripes right up the middle .. That's right .. the front spoiler, over the bonnet (with bulge), the roof and then all the way down the back. The Cobra badges and the dual, twin pipes, 4 pipes in total, looked awesome. The wheels were 18" or 19" and this thing looked great. I had my phone with camera with me but was too busy gawking to think about a photo. Congrats to FPV for an awesome car. Congrats to Herrod for the awesome enhancements and congrats to the lucky bugger who owns this brilliant machine. I JUST WANT ONE !!!

Sorry to hear about the GT Mondie. I guess the old story about cars devaluing as soon as you drive them out of the showroom is true for the XR6T also. I too have had these wicked GT thoughts flash through my brain. With regard to where the GT will stand if (or when) FPV bring out a 'hot' T, I reckon it gives Ford owners or converts yet another option and this is all good. You'll still have you V8 fans going GT and the Turbo guys going T. Good to see I reckon.

I think the Auto group have answered the real question time and again. If you want to go 0-100 quickly ... no skill or driving involved .. grab the Auto. That way ... even granny can do a sub 6. Go girls. :D Now if you want to DRIVE a sub 6, then learn to do it in a manual !! yeeehaaa. I still say we have a great package available for all drivers. People will buy what suits them. But for the real deal .... a track day !!!! I want to see the autos negotiate esses and 3rd to 1st hairpins. C'mon fellas ... a track day !!! As has been said ... It is all good.

It's a long way from Sydney to Melbourne. Like I said before ... Manuals are for boys and Autos are for girls. hehehe Straight line stuff really is a joke. Reaction time ... Fuel load .. Wheel spin etc etc etc. Now when someone wants to set up a race day .... then we can argue !! 0 - 100 .. Buy a motorcycle. B)

It's pretty simple isn't it ? Drive the car .. get a manual. Be driven by the car .. get an auto. OR .... Autos are for girls and manuals are for boys !!! lmao (tongue firmly placed in cheek).

Blood Orange GT will be next for me too I think. I'll wait a few years though !! :-)

Well I for one learnt something while in Melbourne which I didn't realise and that is that 3 cars are allowed through a red light in the city. I can't remember how many times I would see a light go amber and then red only to see 3 cars go through. I've driven 99% of my life in Sydney and really can't comment on other places but we have some shockers up here too.

I'll get an Auto .... when I'm 60 ... lol Flame proof suit goes on now !! hehehe

Am I the only one who thinks the oil temp issue is pretty major. This issue definately puts all my ideas on hold.

Haven't quite made up my mind but I think I like it. I do think it depends on the colour of the car though. Citric Acid for example would look tacky.

I saw a beautiful red GT with black stripes on the road yesterday and it looked awesome. I must admit, I have had a few wicked thoughts lately. I wonder how much I would get for a trade-in on a 6 month old T. I love my Phantom but the GT is just that little bit more 'horn'. Anyone else had these thoughts race through their brains ??
