Ok.. I need more feed back from all of you.. I had picked out myself a set of the BBoss Eleanor rims that I thought would look good on the car.. But wait.. Now I've found a set of after market Typhoon rims that I like.. Here's a link to them.. They are being sole thorough a warehouse called Wheels Direct.. http://wheels.my105.com/index.asp?product=...p;parentid=6835 My question to you all is... Has anyone dealt with them before? and What should I think of an after market rim like this.. One day soon I need a new set of new rubber and rims, hopefully someone can reassure me or tell me I'm a dreamer.. Dunc

Afternoon all.. Can anyone recommend a Melbourne based service center for my XR6T? I have been using the service department where I bought the car but have been unsatisfied with them. Thanks in advance.

Hello All I have had my Xr6T in for its 60k service today. I asked them to check something for me as I had heard an occasion whine from what I thought was the cluth. They've told me that it's some sort of problem with the preasure plate that is going to require a new clutch kit. I'm about to pick it up and will post more info when I have it, however, really at 60k why on earth have I gone through a cluth?? It's not mod'd never been on the track, and although I drive it I don't thrash the car?? Any constructive comments would be greatly appreciated. Duncan

Hmm... Long Story. Needless to say the tears are over and she's back on one piece.

No rotors are standard... Think I'll try calling another dealer and try to get them to explain the "actual" scenario's that would cause the lights to come on then go down the path of nasty letters if I don't get anywhere.... Thanks for all your responses. Dunc

Hello All... I'm looking for someone to help explain my ABS & TC warning lights. I've asked my local dealer but he's confusing me and/or hiding the truth... Does anyone know what would cause my ABS & TC lights to come on and stay on? I'm finding that at slow speed (10k's or less), even just calmly stopping or slowing down at an intersection my ABS is engaging, then the warning lights come on and stay on until the ignition is turned off and on. The dealer at my last service (incidentally the week before the warranty ran out) told me that it was because one of my tires had worn unevenly??? Anyone who could shed some light on this for me would be much appreciated.

Booked in for the 45,000 service tomorrow.... Warranty runs out on the 8th, so maybe I'll be able to find the money for a mod after that :-)

Amazing some of the ideas that come out of brainstorming.... hehe How about fixing a small mirror to the wall at about bonnet height just at the "right" angle so you can see how close the front number plate is from the wall.... or you could rent some space in my 4 car garage...lol. Best (or maybe one and only) thing the that owned the house previously did....

I had the same problem around the 100klm mark and when I booked in for the 3000k service complained... They balanced the tailshaft and it's never happened again.

I may be off the mark here but this sounds similar to the problem I was having... Turned out to be a problem (apparently known) with the VCT solenoid. Which when was explained to me controls the phase of the cam. So if the solenoids playing up and the phase is out it runs rough and vary's in idle... Had it checked and fixed haven't had a problem since. Is this the same prob guys??
