  5. Stock BA MkI XR6T Manual Mixed highway driving & city and I'm not easy on the noise pedal around town. I consistently get 11.2L/100km average. On a side note - what speed do you all get the best economy from? I find mt best is around 80kays, although there's not too much difference cuising at 120 -Pete
  6. G'Day all, New to the forum, living in Newy with my new (to me) BA XR6T that's stock for the next 30secs or so, Looking forward to getting involved with the community, see you on the roads! -Pete
  7. Here's one for ya: I got a call last week from a 24hr alarm-monitoring company telling me that some random person's home alarm had been activated. I didn't know the person and I don't have an alarm (my place is secured by Smith & Wesson) so I kindly explained that they must have the wrong number. The next day they called back with the same message, and the next, and the next. Each time they furnished me with more and more information so after a week I had this person's name, their address and now I was getting a call each time their alarm system was offline. Add to this the fact that I own a decent getaway vehicle the temptation was tangible. Anyway, I was getting a little fed up at being woken up in the morning and telling them to remove my number from their callup list. So this morning when they called I answered the phone and yelled in a panicked voice "Thank God you've called, the neighbour's house is on fire and my children have just been kidnapped by a Giant Flying Spaghetti Monster" and promptly hung up. So far no more calls...
  8. Hey all, Brand new member to the forum (new owner), just performed this tweak (admittedly I did have to remove the battery) and got a reasonable response from my BA with 93 grand on the clock. Seems to pull more evenly from lower RPM (used to have a pronounced 'kick' at 3000rpm) and generally has a better response to generous application of the right foot. Great tip, thanks very much, looking forward to getting into the boosted community.
