I could be wrong but isn't the ZF capable of handling more torque and that the manual transmission is the weak link in the Fords (as well as the clutch)? Or do you mean the power delivery feels different? I have found the ZF has non-stop boost (when it comes onto boost) but my dads 6 spd manual has lag between changes etc

I've got to return mine to stock before I take it in for a service I'm dreading the drive lol but curious to feel the difference again,

as far as I have been told by some of my Expensive Daewoo die-hard friends their manual box is still superior to their auto unlike the ZF in the Fords,

so how did the test drive go?

well he got back to me faster than I expected. Head Office said they dont have a conversion kit for the XR6T. He said that Rod did his own work and according to Jamie he had lots of problems with it *shrugs* So is there anyone else in Perth who can do this conversion?? Cheers T

nevermind...should have tried before I asked Just rang the number which is for Gas Power in Morley and asked to speak to Rod Rod doesn't work there any more so I spoke to Jamie. I asked if they do a conversion and how much do they charge and he said he would call the head office and get back to me...will post when I receive the answer... T

Thanks for posting this info, the number listed in the post, is it the number of Gas Power or of the chap who got the work done to his car. I sent a query to gaspower online and they said they cannot do XR6T Gas conversions Thanks again T

top stuff mate, give it time for the car to loosen up my first impressions of the car was that it wasn't as fast as I was expecting but looking down at the speedo confirmed just how fast it was actually going... that's the thing with these cars...they are so much faster than they feel...too quiet maybe

Agreed with the first part, the last part I would think the ZF would get ya into the 4's with that kind of power not sure about the 4spd though' Mid 5's I suggest. Whats stopping ya get out a stop watch or some other measuring tool
