New Format For V8's At 08 Grand Prix
that's a good point actually...for instance lets say through qualifying there is 1 Ford on Pole and Expensive Daewoo qualified the next 7 positions. Despite the fact, the Ford qualifying in 9th position comes right up onto the second row and the Holdens qualifying faster may conceivably end up further down the list than this slower car (albeit in a different lane) Very interesting....could be as expensive as the reverse grid format?

New Format For V8's At 08 Grand Prix
As brought up by someone from the source site (below); isn't there a dirty line on a race track so one whole manufacturer will end up with it on the start? Source: http://www.fpvtickfordclubwa.com.au/forums...ic=2569&hl=

Marcus Marshall To Replace Jack Perkins
JDR team owner Larry Perkins has advised that Porsche driver Marcus Marshall will replace his son Jack Perkins for the remaining two V8 races at Symmons Plains and Phillip Island this year, driving Commodore # 11. “It’s unfortunate for Jack in that he has been recently diagnosed with Diabetes Type 1 and that has affected his track performances to some degree. It was his decision to stand aside and let Marcus have a go in Tasmania this weekend,” said Larry Perkins. “Marcus was an obvious choice as he showed plenty of potential as an enduro codriver for us at Sandown and Bathurst this year. He fits in well with the guys and I’m sure he’ll do well.” “It’s a big disappointment for me, but you have to face these challenges in life,” Jack Perkins said. “If I can’t perform consistently at my best then standing down becomes the only option in such a competitive environment. “As to what happens next year is a bit of an unknown at this stage, but plenty of advances are being made on the diabetes front so I am optimistic that I can resume racing in the near future.” Marshall was looking forward to donning the black Jack Daniel’s race suit this weekend. “I’m glad of the opportunity despite the unfortunate circumstances with Jack and hope to do a good job for the team.” Source: http://www.fpvtickfordclubwa.com.au/forums...ic=2568&hl=

Stuff that's really not good mate take it straight back to your dealer (or to any dealer if you bought it privately). I personally cant offer you any technical advice but that's what I would do without delay (p.s didn't your mate pick this up while he was test driving it or did he just not know what to expect? when he gets this fixed he will kick himself but at the same time be stoked with the change haha)- 2 X Fords Damaged At Bahrain!
Yeh I was a bit slow in posting this I was beaten to the punch hehe- 2 X Fords Damaged At Bahrain!
Nar I think the 4WD had long since driven off by then and the crane was there to hold the cars. Also one of the posts talks about the cars lurching forward on the back of the truck due to the heavy breaking and skaifes car could have become the meat between the sandwich- 2 X Fords Damaged At Bahrain!
taken from Fox Sports: http://www.foxsports.com.au/story/0,8659,2...4-23770,00.html Skaife hopes topple By Neil McDonald in Bahrain November 01, 2007 AN early-morning highway smash may have ended the Bahrain race hopes of the Ford Performance Racing and Expensive Daewoo Racing Teams. The FPR cars of Steve Richards and Mark Winterbottom, along with Mark Skaife's and Todd Kelly's HRT cars, were being transported to the track from the Bahrain airport in preparation for the start of this weekend's Desert 400 when the semi-trailer carrying them was involved in a crash. It is believed a local in a small four-wheel drive cut off the truck driver, forcing evasive action that tipped the four-car trailer over. No one was injured but the main highway to the track was blocked. Skaife could be the biggest casualty. "At this point we don't know how bad it is, but Skaife's car may have sustained bad damage," V8 Supercars spokesman Col Hitchcock said. Hitchcock said if the damage to other cars was slight pit crews should be able to repair them in time for practice, which starts Friday. "It really depends if the roll cages have been compromised," he said. "If that's the case it will take a lot of work to repair." The $160 million Bahrain complex has the facilities to repair the cars. The four affected drivers are close on the championship table. Kelly is in fifth spot on the championship points tally with 324 points and is aiming for a strong finish in the remaining three races. Richards is sixth on 299, Skaife is in seventh with 283 points and Winterbottom eighth on 271. Each team has been allowed two specially designed shipping containers that can carry about 3.5 tonnes of gear, including cars, for the race. The teams have had to trim down their usual equipment lists to keep weight down. In the case of FPR cars, team manager Chris O'Toole said last week this amounted to four front bumpers, two rear bumpers, two engines, four gearboxes and 16 tyres. Kelly's car had been repainted in Chevrolet livery to mark the launch of Chevrolet Special Vehicles in Bahrain.- Double Back Click
yep this happened around about the time you started this post for me too and it is still occuring...very annoying...happens on the home computer as well. *double back clicks to get back to viewing new posts*- Engine Stalls For No Reason
Had a similar problem with my old BA MK2 XR6 it would just randomly cluck and splutter and then it would be fine for months etc. I sold it for my new car, which up until last week it would splutter if the car had been off for a working day and the revs would drop real low and nearly stall. give it a little bit of gas (and I mean a little not rev it majorly) and it would be fine again until it sat still for a few hours. For me, it turned out that there was a split in the turbo air intake and I got the emissions service etc and it has been fine since (plus I got a retune by Ford) thought it has only been a week so will keep an eye on it...so far so good... Hope this info helps, though my BA was a 4sp SA and my new BF is a ZF.- High-Kilometre XR6 Turbos: How Many km Have You Clocked Up?
