I've done a few track days with the GT club. I've raced at Lakeside in QLD, and also at Bathurst. Bathurst was part of the GT Nationals, it was time trials from the top of Conrod to the finish line, the EB GT received a bit of a workout, but well worth it!
  2. I also got my guage yesterday. I think it's the new colour - you can smell the paint. The paint match is pretty close, but if anything, it is slightly lighter than the original trim. Not much. It varies depending on shadows etc, in the direct sunlight you can just notice it. (My cars a May 03 build) I'll post some pictures later.
  3. Definetly interested! Would they be prepared to give a group discount?, & how many do they need?
  4. Put me down for a 10psi Thanks, Aaron Welsh
  5. Does anyone know the part numbers of the footwell sockets, & if they are available?
  6. In that Case, I'd definitely get the cabin tidy! I was told by the dealer that when the cabin tidy was installed, it goes where the jack was stored or "mounted". I assumed, that as in a few of the other work 4wd utes, that they would have a 'clip in' mounting system for the jack & handle. With the cabin tidy the jack takes up one side of it, but it gets it out of the way, and it doesn't roll around during power slides!
  7. I certainly think the cabin tiny is worth it. Just to stop things rolling around of the back floor. The only problem it causes is with the jack. The jack usually mounts behind the passengers seat, and when the cabin tidy is installed, it sits where the jack used to be! So this means that one side of the cabin tidy it taken up with the jack in it, and the other half can be used. The jack handle although will not fit inside, but it seems to be alright if you put it under the passengers seat.
  8. Does anyone from the Southside, who is going on Saturday want to meet, probably near the Gateway Motorway somewhere for the cruise to Redcliffe, otherwise I'll meet your there ?
  9. I'll second that :- Dyno, Grand Final, Lions Win! & the let the drinking continue !
  10. I have a Blueprint XR6T Ute, a Pearl Black EB GT, and I'm currently restoring a 1971 V6 GT Capri. My Dad has an LTD, my Mum has a Laser, and my Sister has a Telstar. FORD through & through !!!!!
  11. I'm a definite for Saturday. Should be a good day, and a chance to catch up with everyone. See you there.
  12. I had a whine in the diff of my ute at 100 km/h only. They checked it at the 1500 km service, and then again at 4500 km, then they replaced it under warranty. They apparently take a sound reading of the whine, lodge a report with Ford, then at the next service check to see if is worse, if it is, it can be replaced under warrenty. The second diff is perfect.
  13. I have the XR6 Turbo ute, and have a ~1300kg ski boat. With the SSS auto, use the performance mode, and without the rear view mirror you don't even realise that the boat is still there. As for running out of puff, I have never experienced that one! In my opinion the XR6T with the torque of the motor, it has to be driven while towing to be believed, no hesitation!
  14. vik351, Have a talk with them on Thursday, and see if they have, or can produce a template for the ute exhaust also, last time I spoke with them they didn't keep a template for the ute which they did. Let us know the expected price. Thanks
  15. I would be interested in a centre muffler replacement. I spoke to Exhaust Technology a few weeks after the magazine had come out, and he suggested that a get a local exhaust shop to have a look at it, as they didn't have a standard template. But I think it is easier if someone like Exhaust Technology can produce a replacement section for the sedan & ute, which we know will fit perfectly. Would the two staight through pipes / or with straight through hotdog mufflers be the best?, and what would be the price difference? The hotdogs with little restriction may be the way to go. Let us know when you hear anything more. Thanks.
  16. Is anyone going to the All Ford Day on Sunday 14th September? There are ususlly a few hundred cars there, and we may need to add a few turbo's to that equation. It's held at the Kedron Sporting Club, off Fifth Ave. I think the cars must be setup before 9am.
  17. I rang Ford regarding the pedals, and have been told that there is none available, that they are waiting for stock, and I should try in a couple of weeks. Has anyone heard different?
  18. For a picture of the pedals, go to FPV.com.au, click on GT, then on interior, and there is a picture of the pedals.
  19. Sounds good, count me in! All we need is the time & date, and we'll supply the T's! ....and I really want to see & hear dynosteve's car on the dyno!
  20. If the XR6 utes are exempt from FBT, does that mean that you don't have to keep a logbook for 3 months ??
  21. I have a EB GT with 17 inch rims, I have found that you start with High pressure in the tyre, and then read the tyre. As everyone has different driving styles, read the tyres and see how they are wearing and adjust the pressure then for your own driving style. Unfortunately there is no easy setting which everyone should use, use the starting pressure as a guide then adjust over time to abtain the correct setting for yourself.
  22. I have installed the leds in my Ute as per K1W1's diagram and they work fine, you just have to be carefull with the trace on the bottom side of the circuit board, as in sections of the board it is negative on top and positive directly below, meter all connections before installing. In the daylight they look normal. Also I had to connect to leds on the passenger side switch to the window circuit, to be on when the widows are active, (ie smd led & resistor as per this thread and a wire from where the new pin is suppose to go to the negative on the lower left hand corner of the switch) as the blue/red trace wire does nothing. It is there but does not provide a neg or pos feed.
  23. I have also checked my utes switches. The passenger side is no problem as the blue/red feed is present, but on the drivers side it only has the 6 wires with Yellow/Black, Yellow, Red/Black, Red, Black, Grey/Yellow wires. It does not have the blue/red feed. The only other suggestion that I have, which I will look for tomorrow, is to see if the feed wire actually goes into the door through the connector near the hinges, if it does it could be extended to go to the switch. I'll let you know.
  24. BLKXRT Have you modified your utes exhaust? More Power? Better Note? Let us know. Thanks
  25. I have now checked the traction control out ( It has been raining!). Firstly the switch is connected into the wiring loom, although there is no light on the dash to indicate on/off. The switch does illuminate with the headlights on. But the traction control must not be installed. The wheels just spin. Ford must have installed the switch as part of the wiring loom only. I guess the diff rear end may not be able to accept the required sensors? O'well, I'm over it, still enjoying it. Pictures coming on the weekend.
