Who Races?

Since getting my T, I have had my first experience of motor vehicle competition. Just some off street drag meets, but it got me wondering. I though it would be interesting considering how active the modifications forum is, to see how many ppl actually put it to use?

So who races?

Drags?

Track?

And if you don't, why? (Unless you're from Canberra, coz we know you have no track for the qtr!)

I have been to Wakefield for a couple af track days now. Always great fun.

Have never given the 1/4 a run, have never even been to watch the drags, but would like to one day (soon).

Would like to get back into racing, probably club days/track days etc.

Used to have my CAMS and race formula fords when I was 18-20, can be very expensive

I've run Wakefield a few times and Oran Park.

Raced the 1/4 a few times also.

I'd give the 1/4 a miss from now on, as turning corners is more fun.

I think it's time for another track day..

The odd traffic light derby and some spirited runs through the bendy bits just about sums up my competitive motoring experience.

That said I would personally get a huge buzz out of a track day, so I'm 100% in agreement with Esky on a track day.

Also possible that you may see me doing a few qtrs post mods just to give that a bash as well.

G'day,

Me too I don't mind a nice track day...

In fact Im going down on the 30th of this month to Wakefield Park.

1/4 mile is ok, but not really my thing!

Yes I'd love to have a go at a track up here in Brissy. We're considering it for our next cruise. I've raced several times at Willowbank prior to getting the T & once in the T. T & I will be returning to the "bank" within weeks with a plan to run .5 seconds quicker than last time.

Have never raced, and not really intereseted in the 1/4 but going fast around a track would be cool one day.
