  1. No worries, check out the events roster and see if your can make one too.
  2. You really should! The club meeting is tonight!
  3. My old girl is still going. This pic was at a winery the Ford Performance Club of ACT went to for lunch last Sunday. The weekend before we were at Sydney All Ford Day with the club as well.
  4. Oh, and forget my small interaction with Kayhan, I have found the Ford Forums thread where a lot of stuff went bad and they could not get a hold of him. Seems related to issues with the FG cars rather than B Series? I guess, for how advanced they were when they came out, they are pretty basic by todays standards, they were just the first canbus Falcons.
  5. Yes, that will be the way, but the current Kayhan unit is not quite there yet.
  6. I've had colour screen parrots in my car since 2004 and a few years ago I upgraded to the still current version, the 9200, as it did give me more input options via the AUX such as audio from the phone, and even an SD card, that I never used. My first was V2 and I decided to upgrade to a V3, which I think does do that thing with the controls that I'm sure the V2 didn't do, in that you can't use them when the unit is playing music, something I discovered on the way home, so it must be normal. I also think V3 maybe sounds worse through the AUX, so I'm looking to abandon it and I suggest you don't worry about the AUX, it's never been a great sound source from day one in the Falcon, at least the B series cars. I haven't heard too much about the newer V2 Kayhan unit, but specs wise it seems a lot better. I did get a taste of their customer service though as I sent a message about features like wireless Android Auto and wireless charging and got bombarded with spam about the product, things I already knew, and kept being told that bluetooth is wireless, it can do wireless. Well, wecome to the early 2000's Kayhan, you have Bluetooth, and it's wireless, in your unit. How proud they must be. I figured a V3 with integrated wireless Carplay and Android Auto and to use the little cubby hole as a wireless charge bay were good ideas, but apparently not, they fell on deaf, spamming ears. On the whole I like the V2 unit, but it's about to be 2021 and the feature set is no there, especially for a unit running aftermarket Android, they are the easiest to get wireless Android Auto running on. Otherwise I like the fact that all my music will be routed through the proper audio channels, not the AUX. So it's been a while since your post, so maybe the V2 is up your alley? It seems expensive, but the MKi9200 Parrot unit is pretty damn expensive these days, those things have gone up since I bought the first one. I don't drive the car much anymore, but I would like to update it as my daily has all the new tech and I do like it. So I'll keep on looking.
  7. Happy Birthday genebaby!

  8. It was Scott's son that passed away. I replaced my Ozegauges with Defi.
  9. The XS7000 is what you want to charge am Optima. I researched and bought one after getting a yellow top and it's meant to me on snowflake mode for Optimas.
  10. Yes, better pads and rotors will always be a benefit with the PBR brakes. Add braided lines and its a great setup for the street.
  11. Sorry, I may have worded it badly, the issue is cosmetic on one caliper, the red part does not look as nice as when I drove it on for the swap over. The rotors are fine.
  12. Hi MiKa, I don't really want to post it all out, it's way heavy, as you would know. I was thinking $500 for the lot for a local buyer? They've just kinda been sitting there. I was bummed one got the brake fluid on it, it doesn't look as good as the other.
  13. Any change in rotor means a change of caliper and vice versa, they have to match and suit the vehicle.
  14. I have my previous BF front setup available for someone in or around Canberra. Ferodo pads, DBA 4000 rotors and braided lines. No need to change them other than I wanted the C6 calipers. I have changed the front setup a few times without ever wearing out a rotor or pad. They were powder coated red/black like the C6 setup. One got some brake fluid on OT when they changed them over which was annoying.
  15. To use a bigger rotor you need to upgrade/change the caliper too, or use a dodgy aftermarket bracket.
  16. I've heard good things about the newer compound Redstuff. I wanted to try them when I upgraded calipers (again) but the C6 calipers were new and came with the PBR pads so I have them on instead.
  17. Mine were done as part of a rebuild of the rear suspension.
  18. No idea but I have had mine replaced and thought someone was having a lend of me, not having heard of them before.
  19. Yes, thanks SCT, such a perfect way to give Australia the finger again since you dumped all the old Xcal 1 boxes on us all those years ago. Every week more people are being ripped off due to your actions. Hopefully someone in our Government will have the sense to make you right your wrongs. The truth is there, they just have to see it and act upon it. It was amazingly easy to get all the evidence straight from the mouths of those involved and SCT even sent me emails at one point telling me how they didn't like supporting the Xcal 1 so this hastened their decision to turn it off! Like the consumer cares about the problem you made for yourself by dumping old stock in this market.
  20. I hadn't noticed any replies here for ages but I have been at The Office Of Regulatory Services - Fair Trading for a while now, chasing my submission up. I still can't believe I had to print out and post all my evidence when it looked so much better as digital files with names explaining their content. Anyhow, much harder to track/trace the snail mail but I have got there in the end and after a few phone calls and follow up emails to the names of the officers given someone is looking into the case and I have signed a form giving them permission to use my name/ask me questions, which I am happy to do. Either way, the evidence I was able to capture from a few forums was great. Just playing the waiting game again but will chase them up if I hear nothing after a while. I don't think about it too much but when I do I still can't believe what went down with these units and how the Australian customers have been treated. I have never heard of VCAT before, is it only applicable to Victoria? Herrod trade from Victoria which might make things easier, not sure. It might be a way to go if you can do a class action and only pay the one fee. Not sure what you'd get out of that other than possibly an X3 to continue tuning as before, and whether you get your fee back when you win? What's happening with The Office Of Regulatory Services - Fair Trading is a far reaching thing where SCT's ability to scam, I mean, operate in this country would be affected unless they switched Xcal1 tuning back on, which will benefit everyone across the Australia. Once this happens then it would be an idea for those who had to buy an X3 needlessly to be reimbursed for being scammed, or they could keep the X3 and return the Xcal1 for full refund. Either way, leave that to The Office Of Regulatory Services - Fair Trading to look into how to wrap the mess up.
  21. Ok, the laziest person who is mega po'd at SCT has finally gotten a good summary in writing and I intend to pop it in the post, along with a bunch of supporting evidence, to the Office Of Regulatory Services - Fair Trading tomorrow. I'm not sure how I didn't come across them when I was looking into a Gov body that could take this case on but I'm glad it was pointed out to me. I'd have done it sooner if I could just email everything I had collected, but better late than never. SCT aren't going anywhere anyhow and I have lots of patience. While I was sorting this out today a fellow car enthusiast who drives a *cough*, Holden, asked what was going on. Once I explained to him the flash box and how it works for us at the Ford camp he couldn't believe what had transpired and some people's "take it up the bum and loving it" attitude towards being forced to upgrade by the americans. Fair Trading will have my number so I am hoping they will call if they want anything clarified and I've included contact details of all the companies involved. Wish us luck to have this sorted some time in 2011, ha ha!
  22. Whatever dude. You know you can ignore this thread.......
  23. Do we think someone's cracked it? It is ripe for the picking. I have been slack, I just need to write this all out, print off some evidence and I'll send it to the Fair Trading address linked above, that's a good start while my lawyer friend looks into it in spare time. Everyone is busy, but we'll get there. We have time, this issue isn't going away unless SCT fix it. Fat chance hey?
  24. Ok, still very busy but I aim to have something in to the Fair Trading office soon. Along with the story on what's happened I'll be providing some supporting evidence from all concerned over the timeline that this dodyness has occured. This takes a bit more time prepare. You have to send this via old school snail mail, so it is a bit more trouble, but once again, the more the merrier. To make it a bit easier, here's the address: Office of Regulatory Services, Fair Trading GPO Box 158 CANBERRA ACT 2601 Just a short note to tell them your situation would be good, though I'll be mentioning that thousands of end users are effected too. If others actually also chime in it certainly can't hurt. I think it's fair to say that thanks to our online world that this sort of situation is without precedant and is very unique. SCT's major blunder I think was re-instating the X1 after the first shut down to allow their biggest customers, tuning shops, to offload their X1 stock. I'm very glad they did that now.
