  2. Very similar times stock, a bloke on FF ran a 12.1 in a stock F6 which is the fastest I've heard of? Quick F6's seem to be around 12.3 and same for the GT. Mine ran 11.96@118mph tune only, hot day on street tyres, should have an 11.5 in it with some radials and a nice day

  5. Because its in america... and they give no fark for noise laws. The mustang will sell as long as its priced accordingly. Look at all the people buying that toyota 86 thing.. They could be buying the 4cyl Mustang that will blow the doors off the Toyota. Ford is alot bigger than the Falcon and I don't think theyll be struggling for customers... one look of a 'stang parked next to an FG will have them sold lol. I can't wait!
  6. A mate at work had almost exactly the same issue as you on his NA XR6, very similar symptoms. After taking it to a few workshops with no results (including Knox Ford) I pulled the rocker cover off to find it had skipped a tooth, the top of the tensioner/chain guide was chipped off too. I set the timing again and its been fine ever since. He should replace the guide but he hasn't, so far so good lol. NA engines are cheap! I would be surprised if that's not it!

I think the 10.15 run by the ute was closer to 500rwkw not 600 too Don't forget the factory blown 5.0l can be turned into a monster while still looking stock under the bonnet (if that's what you want) but a in 5.4 you could get dicked for having a blower very easily. The 5.0l likes to rev a bit more and will make more power than the 5.4l but at higher rpm.
  8. Another one for the mph comparison... I ran 12.5@118mph 325rwkw in my old BA XR6T, street tyres. 2.0 60' from memory.
  9. Ah yeah that seems like the go. The mustang kits look like they have a small heat exchanger compared to the herrod/kpm kits but its probably pretty easy to swap it out for a big one. Keen to see how it turns out and what fittings etc you end up with.
  10. Looking good so far mate! Sounds like its a bit of fun to drive. What have you got in mind as far as the intercooler goes? I have been looking at the kits available and while they all seem great its a bit hard to justify the price! I'm sure something could be made up for about half the price..
  11. Do standard/replacement bump stops just pull off? Or is there a bolt in the middle that holds them on?
  12. that's a good result. I would say that F6 had more than 300kw though yeah? E85, injectors, dump + cat, (fuel pump??) is a cheap way to do it but still a bit more than tune only (cat back exhausts do nothing for power on these so they say!?). Add e85 and injectors to the GT and surely it would be close to a 10sec pass? Yeah he had slicks too. Just have to budget an input shaft in there too cos they seem to die with a tune/+ any extra mods.
  13. The F6 will make more down low/mid range torque.. but both seem to run from 12.2-12.7 stock. A bloke on FF has run a 11.3 with a tune and cat back in a 380rwkw GT... Where are all the 300kw Low 11sec F6's?? They seem to get similar results but both go about it differently. I miss the mid range turbo power but love the instant response of the GT.

Plus about 35 bikes over the years lol. Might slow down soon.. I'm only 25.
  15. Yeah that's what mine was idiot! I've since sold the car but it would have been a blocked vent hose that runs up near the rear cradle.
