Vacuum line?

Hey guys.  My cars been apart for most of this year.  Just putting it back together.   I've got a vacuum hose I can't figure out.  It's on the passenger side wall of the engine bay runs from near the ecu.   Starts as a hard plastic hose the a check valve ( I'm guessing) then a rubber line.  Can't figure what's it's for.

It goes under the manifold to the smaller part of the plastic fitting that goes over the brass insert. The pcv hose goes to the larger fitting of the plastic part.
