  1. Yeah sorry. Ive changed so much I tend to forget. Hopefully it'll be ready to fire up soon!
  2. Well after talking to Plazmaman we found the issue. I'm using a psr 3584 turbo. The GTX front cover is a bit longer so I needed to trim about a inch off the silicone joiner. Still a tight as fit but it's on there now!
  3. I'll give it a go when I get home. Cheers.
  4. The gasket I took out was metal but the replacement is a paper one. Is the paper one ok? I assume it will be. Running 21lbs of boost.
  5. If anyone has some good pictures of the placement of the pipe and especially how it clears the power steering pump lines I'd really appreciate it.
  6. No. No luck. I'm starting to wonder if they gave me the wrong pipework.
  7. Trying to install this kit. Swearing like a sailor. Can not get it in for the life of me! Damn power steering is in the way. Is there a secret? What am I missing.

    Vacuum line?

Hey guys. My cars been apart for most of this year. Just putting it back together. I've got a vacuum hose I can't figure out. It's on the passenger side wall of the engine bay runs from near the ecu. Starts as a hard plastic hose the a check valve ( I'm guessing) then a rubber line. Can't figure what's it's for.
  10. Has anyone tried the Worley radiators? Fitment issues?
  11. I cant find the torque spec for the flexplate to crank bolts to save my life. Help please!
  12. Sounds good. I do have a aem air/fuel gauge I'll keep my eye on. Thank you!
  13. So I've been reading about the dreaded milkshake and since I'm rebuilding the motor I thought perhaps I'd change the trans cooler to a air cooled version. I've always changed the stock unit every other year and have never had a issue. Read all the info and I like the idea but also understand the 6-speed is a bit picky about the trans temp. Now I live in the South Island of New Zealand....Christchurch.....it does get warm but no where near Australia warm. People start complaining when the temp hits 25 degrees. Just wondering if the likes of a Aeroflow unit with fan would be appropriate for our colder climate. Would it cause issues? Cheers.
  14. Hello all. So I started by changing my spark plugs and it snowballed into a total rebuild. Haha don't ask! So the setup prior to tearing it apart was pretty simple. 1000cc injectors and 255lp fuel pump. Stock exhaust with a high flow convertor, Plazmaman stage 3 intercooler and a stock turbo at 15psi. Lots of fun but as we all know you get comfortable with the power and so here I am. New build is a all forged bottom end, studs, ported head aftermarket cams pulsar gtx3584rs gen 3, Plazmaman upper intake, full 4" to 3 1/2" exhaust and all the boring stuff like billet flexplate etc. Well my question is how to break it in. Will my old tune be able to start it up and break it in? How long a break in before it heads to the tuner? Tbh it's my first non carbureted electronically controlled build. It was easy in the old days. This is definitely more complicated and I don't want to f/u a nice new motor.

    Oil brands

So I have a 5 litre bottle of the 10 tenths 15w 50 and happen to have a couple of litres of some fully synthetic 10w 50. Can I mix them and what are the consequences of this. Cheers
  16. Did you ever get to the bottom of this issue? I'm having exactly the same issue. I'm running 15lb of boost with high flow cat 1000cc injectors 255lph fuel pump and a plazmaman intercooler. It like I just hit a wall. Cant figure it out. Happened on my previous tune (10lb from a different tuner) and again on this new tune.
  17. Ok I've read through the various other posts on the subject of intercooler size and almost all have gone off topic and not answered my question so here it goes. I got a great deal on a 1000hp plazmaman IC kit. Hot/cold side piping cold air intake the lot. Couldnt help myself! Going on my 2007 that already has 1000cc injectors, 255lph pump, high flow cat with 10psi boost. Dynoed at 410hp (yeah I'm old school!) at the wheels. So I'm assuming I'll have some lag but hope it's not too bad. Should I sell it on and get a more reasonably sized kit or slap her on? Daily driver.
  18. Awesome! 275 30 19" here I come! Cheers!
  19. I was wondering of a set of 2015 FGX XR8 wheels would fit a 2007 BF? Cheers
  20. Well it turned out to be a simple blown fuse. It didn't look blown but it was. She's all good now!
  21. Nope..... Just pulled out the stock panel with the analog clock and spliced into the above mentioned cables. Can't find any blown fuses.
  22. Yep the lights turn on. Boost gauge and oil pressure.
