Hi guys, this has probably been covered before, but are dba t3 5000 2 piece rotors suitable for the street? I mean being 2 piece, do the bolts holding them together have to be checked regularly or are you supposed to loctite them? I'm just thinking it maybe better long-term, being lighter and just replacing the rotors and bolting them to the hats may be cheaper than buying new t3 4000 rotors each time. Does anyone know the weight difference between the 4000 and 5000s. Cheers for replys guys.

how many rotors do you plan on going through? really only designed for race cars who chew through them. not needed for street cars really so save ya coin. 

Surely you'd be better off just getting the "standard" T3 rotors. By standard I mean not the two piece ones 😋

I run two piece rotors on my car. I used an Alcon hat, which allowed me to run a larger 365 mm and it also positioned the rotor 10 mm inboard. This change significantly increased  wheel selection.

@hipsi any chance of a photo with the wheel and brake combo etc?

Id love to have better choice of wheels. The only downside of Brembos.

Prices are from Brakes Direct, 2017... I machined the bosses for the brackets and my engine guy modified the brackets..

Sure thing... Alcon hat with 365 mm DBA rotor.

 

 

 

 

Modified bracket.... Offset modified by 10 mm. Caliper radius increased by 5 mm.
