Fg f6 over boosting

Hi guys, cars been at the tuners for a over 2 weeks now the car is having a problem with over boosting we have taken off the turbo (3582r) and have got the turbo ported and new flapper but it's still boost spiking we have tried all the obvious reasons and have no idea why it's doing it the actuator is a 12psi turbosmart any information would be greatly appreciated cheers

swap out the actuator to a stock one and see if it continues to overboost.

We did that before we ported out the turbo and it spiked.  next thing we are going to try is different springs but I doubt that'll change it the springs it has in it equal to 12psi but arnt the combination that are on the chart turbo smart give you as a combination for 12psi so I'm not sure if it's that or not

if it spikes on the stock actuator with the boost solenoid bypassed, then you have a mechanical problem... the wastegate is either getting stuck closed (or not opening correctly) the actuator isn't setup correctly (pre-load etc).

Waste gate definitely wasnt getting stuck we made sure of that and they have made sure the preload is right bloody pain in the ass

Is it a GTX or just the stock turbo. What's it spiking too in psi?

You need a new tuner ...

It's the factory turbo not gtx, was spiking to 21psi 

 

Was only making about 330kw at 4500rpm spiking to 21psi boost curve isnt very nice though staggers up and the fuel was rich as

just put the stock actuator back on and check it with a compressor to ensure it opens the flap completely at about 10-12psi or so, then plumb the actuator directly to the front of the turbo and see if it overboosts. If it still overboosts in that sort of situation, the only way for it to happen is for your wastegate to be stuck closed mechanically in some way shape or form.
