Help boost cut

It seems like the boost solenoid isn't working properly. Bypass it for a quick test drive to see how it goes. You can spray wd40 in them if they get sticky (I've done this and it works) but they are pretty cheap to replace if it turns out to be the culprit.

 

Be warned that the boost reference hose can pop off if it has wd40 on it, so a cable tie or little clamp could come in handy to prevent that.

 

Don't pay someone to look at the tune just yet.

I done  the bypass and it still does it although it's only get to about 10 psi 10 still cuttingnout though

So it's running 10psi on a stock actuator which has been proven to open at 6ish psi.

 

Due to the previous comments regarding the exhaust, it's possible that the exhaust and cat have been messed with, and is flowing too much for the stock wg and tune.

 

Another thing that can happen that was posted about recently, is the boost reference hose has a split or hole in it and is bleeding off air under boost.

Only 5 psi more and it will make 400 kw

So I still haven't solved this probly get it looked at this week if I suck on the hose to THE wastegate and there is no resistance would this mean its stuffed

Yes. Or the hose is split.

Hose definatly is split I will try find a second hand one and go from there cheers

This sounds like another thread where it looks like we saw the actuator fail as the comments rolled in. Let us know how the new/used actuator goes. Get a new one though cos they are cheap, and at least it'll be good for another 10 to 15 years or so. @JETURBO will hook you up with a stock actuator no worries, if that's what you're after.

Yea I'll only be going stock so I can sought this issue out will worry about upgrading later
