I'm stuck at taking the rotor off. I put some WD40 on the studs. do I have to do anything with the handbrake pretensioner? Can I just wack the rotor off with a larger 3lb hammer? Either a big gear puller or a lot of hard work with a hammer to work it loose. It seems to be tighter around the adjuster bolt. I tried to loosen it but nothing happened. Only hit with a soft blow hammer. And turn either clockwise or anticlockwise as you pull them off. One of those directions will come off easier. (if its moving you broken the rust 'seal') It's the toothed wheel at around 2 or4 oçlock through the hole between the wheel studs Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/94196-changing-rear-brembo-rotors/#findComment-1662340 Share on other sites

Assuming you're not re-using the brake disc, it's fine to damage it in pulling it off. Just a warning, there'll be a loud sound as you pull it off, using this method (I've done it a few times haha).
