Brembo calipers

Just bought some brembo calipers and turns out they didn't have the brackets (can't find any anywhere). Ended up buying another set of calipers with brackets so I can get some made up (needed a pair with the brackets so they can be copied), anywho im selling a set and keeping a set. (1 set is in good condition and 1 set has paint and clear peeling) I'm getting a pair painted for my self and was wondering should I get the set that's peeling painted and sell the good set or paint both and keep the set that didn't have the peeling?

 

my main question is what would cause the calipers to peel and paint to fade? Does it mean they got hammered? Only asking cause I dnot want hammered calipers that are just gonna be sh*t and stuff up

It's common as for Brembos, they all do it even if looked after [emoji6]

Is this due to heating cycles? Would this still happen even if you repaint the calipers. Reason I ask, is because @-Stever- is going to be pissed in a few years time when they peel again.

It's to do with the thin/weak layer of clear coat. a good quality heat resistant clear coat fixes the problem

MFP Australia are making alloy brackets for the 4 piston Brembo's and apparently intend making brackets for the six pots as well.

What is mfp? I've just put it in google and nothing car related comes up. Got a link and or contact number. Been looking for a while and couldn't find anyone hence why I done thisz

Something chipped the new paint off in multiple places on my RHS caliper, not happy about it.  Just can't have nice things, if you want them to stay that way, don't use them.

 

But then again what's the point of owning them if they just sit dead!
