There's a very minimal visual difference until it's on high, then the performance hit isn't worth it.

 

Lol I guess I'll buy whatever card comes after the 20 series. That should be a 50% gain in performance.

SLI yes, NVLINK def not

 

 

in saying that though, games optimised for SLI like crysis and crysis 3 was insane on SLI. 300fps average at 2K max.

That's the key. How pissed would you be to have a $1k to 2k gpu sitting there doing stuff all?!

 

I always knew that a single 1080ti was only ever going to be properly good for 1440p, but I don't want another one and don't want a 2080ti.

yeah that's it. SLI meant good but wasnt provided enough support, whereas NVLINK doesnt require support. They have seen gains of upto 80% with NVLNK which is awesome, its just a shame the 2080ti fell short of what it could of been and unfortunate the price didnt help that. I do respect the card though for what it does RT wise. Most people dont understand the actual RT side.
