My new genuine ID 1000cc injectors have arrived at Jets and are waiting to be installed along with a Garrett 8 psi actuator. I will be fitting a new Venom high flow cat bolt on section this coming Saturday. Then its off to Jets early August for the parts to be installed and custom tuned. Its sitting at 258 rwkw's and 795 nm of torque so it should make some pretty good gains with the new parts. Intercooler will be the only real limiting factor. But one chunk of cash at a time for me at the moment intercooler and piping next time, intime for summer. 2 Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/91862-popping-her-cherry/page/8/#findComment-1603894 Share on other sites

I'm predicting 285rwkw. The plus here will be a much better behaved car after jet tunes it. 1 Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/91862-popping-her-cherry/page/8/#findComment-1603921 Share on other sites

Its limited by the BA rods so I'm definitely realistic as to what to expect. A car that is tuned right and is running decent fuel consumption numbers is the main goal of this round. Anything else is massive bonuses. Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/91862-popping-her-cherry/page/8/#findComment-1604015 Share on other sites

Member 1,384 Member For: 10y 2m 19d Posted 10/08/16 08:11 AM Author Share Posted 10/08/16 08:11 AM Since my last post I have had a set of ID 1000's and a Garrett 8psi actuator supplied and installed by Jet at JD Tuning. A set of genuine coils, oil and filter and a Venom high flow cat which I did just before I dropped it off to jet. Its been tuned and run on the dyno resulting in 282 rwkw's at 830nm of torque, which is what was expected with few extra kws. So one very happy camper here. Given factors like standard cooler, stock clutch and high km's on clock its a really good result. But the biggest factor is in the way it behaves and drives now. Jet has tuned it with a healthy amount of bottom end to mid take off. Enough can't be said for time that was put in to get my sub par running car, back to how it should have been running. Cheers Jet. 1 Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/91862-popping-her-cherry/page/8/#findComment-1606845 Share on other sites

Gold Donating Members 23,708 Member For: 17y 26d Gender: Male Location: Adelaide Posted 10/08/16 08:37 AM Share Posted 10/08/16 08:37 AM It was a pleasure working on such a nice tidy BA Turbo, it drives really well and for a best part stock set up it goes great when the times right I'd love to be apart of the next round of mods and hopefully just nudge that elusive 300rwkw mark. and nice meet you Adam 1 Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/91862-popping-her-cherry/page/8/#findComment-1606858 Share on other sites

Also having a chance test drive before after really gives ya real time feel of the tune and if any tweaks are needed. And most definitely mate the next round will be done by you. And the next one. And the next one.... Ha ha ha. Good work buddy. Old Black Betty...rides again. 1 Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/91862-popping-her-cherry/page/8/#findComment-1606890 Share on other sites
