  1. I had the same issue many years ago, new cap fixed it. New header tanks from sparesbox come with a cap, $30 delivered not worth trying to clean out the old one that's a few years old.
  2. The mk2 headlights use a h7 bulb for the main so you'll need to chop the old h4 off to replace that. Then you'll need to do some wizardry with the wiring to keep the main lights on when you flick the high beams on. Or you can search google for fg mk1 to mk2 headlight conversion loom and pay for a ready made product
  3. Crap pic but you get the idea. Maybe the standard bush needed it but the superpro one doesn't.
  4. A few weeks ago I dropped the rear end of my brothers Territory turbo and replaced every single bush with Superpro bushes. Today was the front ends turn. That 3rd drivers side diff bush was an absolute *beep* of a thing to get to even with the engine jacked up, engine oil filter removed and the steering rack unbolted. Got there in the end. Does anybody know what the purpose of the concave washer that bolts on top of it is? While there we replaced the engine mounts with newbies as well. Just need to replace the shot steering rack boots and replace the diff oil, probably hasn't been done once in it's 212km life.
  5. The genuine Ford ones were no good either. I bought a brand new one back in 2015 to replace one that dumped coolant when I switched the car off, and it did the same thing. I even tried to warranty it but they were a bunch of pricks and didn't want to refund me. Anyway I ended up getting a Tridon one from supercheap and it's been fine for the past 8 years now.
  6. I don't have any suggestions on external coolers, but I wouldn't be too disappointed these are not available anymore. I spent the last couple of weeks chasing a coolant leak in my brothers turbo Territory which happened to be a failed engine oil cooler mixing coolant into the oil, zf heat exchanger style.
  7. I don't have an answer but just an observation. My brothers g6e turbo does this and it's annoying as. My g6e turbo manufactured same year but a few months later doesn't do it. His car also has a warning from time to time that the rear seat belt is in use? My car never has this message.
  8. My bf I could recirc without the aircon on. The fg doesn’t let me which annoys me daily.
  9. Yea like I said, sounds like the torque reduction has been turned off. Regardless, being at 100,000 km, you should service the trans anyway. It's not that big a job that people make it out to be.
  10. Get the tuner to turn the torque reduction back on
  11. Yea I've always done it the proper way over the years on various cars but this is the first time the loom got caught in such a BS position and it just got me frustrated so I took a shortcut and we all know how those end up. All good, live and learn
  12. Mechatronics swapped around so running the standard ZF tune now. Just need my tuner @ jdtuning to re enable the torque tags and should be all good.
  13. Busy day today, reluctantly removed the box and as suspected I fuked the pump ring gear when I had to pry apart the box from the engine to pull the caught loom away. Probably would've noticed the wedged loom if I had a hoist and not doing it on my back with 2 car jacks and bits of timber . Anyway I installed the other zf I had sitting around and the car is running great. Haven't driven it for a while as I rebuilt the turbo and was mucking around with this issue so it's good to be back on the road again. Still need to swap the mechatronics around as it currently has a ZF tune on this TCM that is meant for the other box and I just want the factory tune in mine.
  14. At first I thought it was software but from my research it might be hardware related. I may have damaged the oil pump alignment tabs on install as I had to pry apart the box from the engine to move the loom that got caught under the coolant temp sensor but I left the converter bolted up to the flex plate when I did this. I have a third spare ZF sitting in my shed so will just install that one or maybe just change the oil pump. Will report back sometime next week.
