Twin Wastegate Sizing

Anyone know if it's possible to run 2 different sized wastegates on a twin scroll manifold, say a 38mm and a 44mm together. Would you run into any tuning or boost control issues?

You can do it but why would you ?

It will make the rate of release a PITA for a tuner to set up as it would have a weird multiply factor on gate D/C

Sometimes, ok usually most always, it's easier to bite the bullet and do it the right way first. A couple of people on here don't do that and never seem to learn. Don't be those guys. Lol

Is your manifold twin pulse? Or just your turbo (twin scroll) ?

Saw an article talking to Kyle at 6boost saying a single gate on a twin scroll turbo is pretty much on par with the twin gate setup on the same turbo

Manifold is twin pulse and turbo is a twin scroll gt42, I may as well go twin as I already have 1 tial 44mm, but manifold currently has no wastegate ports welded to the collector so I could go single 60mm and sell the other 2 wastegates.

I'd absolutely go a single 60mm over 2 gates. less headache if you ever have to pull them off for any reason, not much room there

Twin 38's is fine with a GT42....no need for 44's.
