True Trac Or Kaaz Diff ?

Just about to get a true trac diff put in my Fg f6 and my mechanics are telling Me I should go a KAAZ diff centre

What's everyone opinions and which way would you go ?????

Street car? Don't go KAAZ. Truetrac or Wavetrac are the go for street cars bud. KAAZ are good for drift cars, but sh*te on the road.

Yeah street car mate , the mechanics rang the diff place and that guy swayed him towards a KAAZ and was singing to know what people with ford knowledge thought

The TrueTrac in my car is noiseless where as I have read on here that the KAAZ can be quite noisy.... never been in a car with one fitted though so only hear-say

Out of interest as a G6E Turbo owner, is there anything special to look out for when swapping to an LSD?

It's one of the upgrades further down the track. Every time I come to this site, I find something new to upgrade.

With normal evey day driving, you won't see or feel any difference at all. The truetrac just does what it has to do..

Under extreme conditions (shall we say), I get caught out a bit as it directs the tourqe so quickly - and coz I'm old and the reflexes aren't as quick as they used to be - the car flicks me in the wrong direction every now and then but as I said, only coz I'm too slow to catch it

What about reliability with the true trac has there been many breakages ???? And they are heaps stronger than the standard M86 centre aren't they ????

There is two ways to lay the KAAZ clutch plates one is far more forgiving.

I'm possibly shopping for a new diff as mine is finally getting pretty noisy (no stereo in the car right now...lazy). Wondering about aftermarket vs stock. Have been advised by Ralph to just go stock due to the high number of kms I do but I'm still interested to see price differences.

When I was researching diffs, I gave (I can't remember who know - eaton maybe???) a ring and asked them if it will support about 450kw as that was/is the max I would ever take my car to and responded with a "sh*t yeah it will" so I'm guessing they're plenty strong enough

Done 25000k since pit lane had it fitted for me so I just bought some oil to swap... will be interesting to see what comes out of it.... I'll do it as soon as I can get the use of a mates hoist
