Tyres are a huge factor here, give the xr8 anything better than dunflops and it would lap a lot quicker!

But as seaton says that is flying around wakefield in a stock car. I seem to remember Luffy did a 1:10 in the new HSV GTS, couldn't find where I saw that though, he also did a 1:09 in an F6

In 2008 Luff ran a 1.09.9 in an FG F6 and a 1.11.5 in a FG XR6T.

Anybody who has driven Wakefield and got any sort of times knows how insanely fast that is for these cars stock.

Maybe we need to spend more time on track and less money modifying. Haha

Yeah but we all know how much the dun flops let down the XR and FPV range, the fact you can go from out of control and crazy wheel spin to very controlled and minimal wheels spin just from some decent rubber says a lot.

Edit: plus I don't know what rubber bolt runs with or how grip limited he is

Haha guys a FG GT Rspec has a kerb weight of 1844kg vs 1770kg of the BF F6.. Consider the BF F6 Rspec had a tune to match the FG GT rspec im pretty sure the 6 would win around a track same driver same rubber. I love my FPV always will but dame when that new mustang comes no big aussie falcon will come close on a race track.
