just can not buy a better truck than a hilux ,the service is second to none .and they are as tough as nails .the only draw back is that they are slow

Plus they turn like... Something that.. Doesn't turn very well

Very annoying to park

So blardy slow as mentioned, glad to be rid of mine, turbo diesel courier storms up hills in 4th loaded up. Hilux was in 3rd and slowing..

Hilux was mechanically hard to beat , but low power doesnt hurt parts much either, hence reliable.

Ford failed in Australia???

Yes they can't make a decent locally made car.

It's sad, the only reason I bought one was to support the local industry.

they have plenty of happy customers but as usual the squeaky wheel makes the most noise so we hear more about cars with issues

Reliable, powerfull, comfy, handels great (now)...and the ability to put my bike and all my gear in the back and cruise down to wakefield park with ease. I love my ute, I'm planning to hang onto this one. As specially now they're a dieing breed.

Well said. That was my experience. I hope that others don't have the same issues as I did.

O wait. Let's say for 12 months and the discussion is irrelevant, just like locally built fords.

The customers have spoken, they just don't buy them anymore.

Sad really, as I did support the local industry.

Bitter and twisted much. Should have just tried another dealer.

What are you driving now that's so revolutionary and brilliant?

No not bitter and twisted just relieved. Just not a fanboy wearing rose coloured glasses.

What I drive now is irrelevant to this discussion.
