Right new theory, as my stutter/misfire is quite inconsistent now and only happens at certain times.

Only does it when it's hot. Like proper giving it a hard time.

So either A.
Heat soak. Probably quite likely.

Or B. Fuel Cavitation when the second fuel pump kicks in. The reason I say this is the Hobbs switch I had here has a minimum setting of 10psi (and I have it set to 12), which is around when this stutter occurs.

Or C. Coils are still I <3 Bananased and get worse when it gets hot.

it could be because the switch and extra fuel pump are taking more current from the system and your spark is suffering? :idunno:

Run the second pump all the time or set it to come on at a couple of pounds so you can diagnose that part of it. What keefy said can be taken into account here too.

 

Get a giant single so you don't melt the motor if the second one fails.

Get a better alternator and battery.
