Hey guys,

Just had my car retune after the last set of mods im on my second tank of fuel and am sure my engine is pinging, sounds like marbles tapping together in my engine and sounds worse when it revs.

I run bp 98 ultimate from a busy servo my tuner says it must be bad fuel. Any thoughts and whats the best way to drain a fuel tank in these guys?

Remove back seat!

Undo fuel hose and connect a hose to the outlet!

Use a piece of wire and trip the fuel pump relay in the engine bay! Car on reds and away you go fuel to sniff!!!

Drained and filled with VPower 98 will see how it goes on a cold start in the morning.

Use bp ultimate where ever u can but yes shell v power is next best thing

BP Ultimate is where I got the bad fuel batch from otherwise I have always used them.

When starting the car this morning with the Vpower it sounded so much worse then it did

yesterday with the BP Ultimate.

It may not even be a ping I have had a allot of work done in the last few weeks and never heard the car ping

before so I dont really know the sound.

marbles under the bonnet sounds nasty.

Tried different fuel , so not that.

I'm no tuner, next stop fuel delivery( could be a lot of things)

filter, pump. squirters etc

call your tuner ASAP and absolutely no boost

Have been speaking to tuner, has new fuel pump and injectors, also new valve springs.

This didnt start happening until I did the turbo mod and retune.

Neither of those vids is engine ping. You have got other issues like idler bearing noise or alternator bearing or even turbo impellor scrapping inside the housing. You could remove the engine belt and start the engine briefly and that would remove the first two variables. If the noise is still there remove the intake pipe off the turbo and ( with the engine not running ) look and feel for any for any scrapping of the impellor in the housing. Even check for loose bolts ect.
