Thanks for that JVK, this all started happening after getting the turbo mod done. I can hear the turbo spinning after turning the car off even though I idle it for a min or 2. The turbo core was replaced a while ago and the housing and core were inspected during turbo mod and no issues at the time.

Ive just bought a new fuel filter and will fit shortly as I never replaced it when changing fuel pump and injectors.

Why does the sound dissapear after it warms up for a few mins

Just a quick one but you will always hear the turbo spinning down for like 10 seconds or more after key off, I always have when stock and now modded and well ove 200,000km. Only worry if the sound changes :)

Good luck!

You may well have an exhaust leak. Check all the manifold bolts and where the turbo bolts to the manifold. Could be lots of things but you have to start somewhere and discount things as you go and narrow it down to a specific area.

Okay to I have pulled turbo piping off and checked the impeller, there is the smallest amount of play and

not touching housing at all spinning freely.

I have a thought which might sound odd... had an issue previously where the turbo oil filter was leaking oil went

all over engine bay and all over the drive belt. After correcting the issue and allot of degreasing the belt would

squeek sometimes. Only reason I mention this is I had someone around to have a listen and that's what they believe it

could be.

Definetly sounds like a bearing squeak.
