How come the V8sc slicks dont explode when doing there burnouts? They see up to 300kmh.

Though if you go back to the drags again you should consider some semi slicks.. Especially once you've had practice at the drag strip..

It probably exploded because the pressures were too high.

Most people don't realize that 25-30psi is a good cold starting point for circuit slicks.

They are designed for negative camber cornering, not drag racing.

Having said that, if set up correctly, with adequate heat, they will be far stickier off the line than a regular road or R spec tyre, and are quite cheap.

fitted some old circuit semi slicks in the weekend 275 50 17  for a drag meet. got some good heat in them out of the water box and they stuck way better than my street tyres.

you'd hope so, for semi-slicks being better than street tyres haha
