Thanks for the response I'm also changing out an ebay cooler for a plazmaman 800hp unit and just found out my tuner has closed up shop so he can't touch up my tune. I'm a bit lost right now but if I have to have someone retune it I was considering an e85 tune but wasn't sure what I needed to change. I'm only expecting around 330 ish as well being my cars previous tune was 300.

Have you bought the cooler already?

Update.

Well got the car prepped for tune by doing the following.

Cleaned throttle body, Herrod CAI and boost solenoid.

Had new Nitto Invos fitted (found out had a buckled rim).

Brought new plugs ready for gaping and dumped engine oil and replaced.

Delivered car Tuesday morning early after bolting in venom high flow cat and filling with fresh BP98.

By Tuesday afternoon all the bolt in stuff was done.

I hang around most of Wednesday waiting for it to hit dyno, but it was not to be.:(

On retuning Thrusday, I spoke to Simon when I went to pick the car up keen to find out how it went, not to mention getting it back to see how it goes.

Simon had told me the car was pinging through the top end when he was running it up.

He said that through the top where the little turbo starts to run out of puff, he would normally advance timing. In my case he had to retard timing due to pinging!

When I asked what his thoughts on why it was doing this, he questioned the type of fuel the car had been running.

The car has only ever been run on 98ron. So could have I just been unlucky and filled up with poor BP98?

Would love to get to the bottom of why it was doing this!

Not for the rwkw numbers but to know car is at its best.

Would love to hear thoughts on what people think in regards how the car looks on dyno sheet?

Looks like a neat curve, doesn't fall over up top either.

Mate only thoughts are you got a bad batch of fuel.

Anything else will be big $$

And my one only got about 310rwkw on 98

E85 now that's a whole other story
