I have a single 50mm off the merge collector (average angle too) and don't have any issues controlling boost.

 

Good to see Garrett finally have a new turbine on a GT35 frame. Still no EFR though!!

50mm gate is more then adequate the way 6boost positions it on the collector is not.

I'm facing a similar dilemma at the moment in making a single gate function on a spilt pulse manifold.-

Runners are completely divorced at the collector

ie-

 

My plan is to add a separator plate between the runners (and extend into the elbow) and use a 50mm stand off (will be using my 45mm hypergate)

Angle will be similar this with the end angle cut to A: position the gate correctly B: Have max area available for the gas flow

I'll add some picks of mine when I fly home in the next couple of days Ralph. I used 2x 40mm bends off each side of the collector then made a 40mm 2into1 merge into the gate. Basically how your holding it is how 6boost do it but they put it at 90* to the merge which is obviously terrible for flow. Facing it like you have is a lot better to promote the gas flow into it but still may lead to trouble if each divided half isn't big enough.

I know what you mean mate, 6boost used to do them like that back in the day. I may go that way but also looking for simplest solution fab wise!

 

I planned to angle mine is it's basically inline with the entry angle from the inner two primaries on each side (does that makes sense??)

Yep can definetly say mine was a *beep* to weld it all out but got it done in the end.

Yeh get what you mean with the angled entry. Yours is a lot easyer to get it done like that with the longer collector.

I'm running a v band housing and single entry so the merge is pretty straightforward.

^ nice and light too. Has anyone tested the tial v split pulse back to back to see results?  

 

Proper split pulse though so either twin gate or split  gate off the collector, and not just a single pipe?

I have a CRG manifold. Would never buy from them again, were terrible to deal with and the quality is very average also.
