Ba Rookie Mistake New Wheels

Hey guys

I purchased some wheels second hand.

20x 235 x 8.5

The problem is the stud pattern is 5x 100

I need to get these on my ba mkii xr6t

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Offset is 35 all round

Snap a few wheel studs off till they fit. (could be a bit wobbly)

Otherwise, sell them and buy the right wheels.

Is there any spacers or anything that can change the stud pattern to make them fit??

I've read about people using spacers to change bolt patterns but that sounds a bit cowboy to me, surely it would add loads of poke to the wheels and you'd end up with like effective offset of zero or something, hahaha. Probably stress the factory hub bearings being that far, if it even fitted.

Things I have looked for when considering rims

PCD (you need 5x144.3)

Centre bore size - think falcons are 70.5mm? You can run hub centric rings between the rim and hub to make them sit on the hub properly like factory, these are still legal from what I've read. The reason you need to care about this is if you are buying rims that are designed specifically for another car like Jap imports, as they have a smaller hub size so the rims would need to be bored out, which sounds scary to me and probably illegal.

Width combined with offset as you know already. The factory rims from the B series XRs for example are 8" wide with 36mm offset, at least for crappy standard rims, FPV might be different, someone confirm??

Weight - factory rims are said to be from about 11 to 15kg from what I've read here. Less mass means better performance in a few areas and less wear and tear in theory.

Closely tied to the above is - forged or cast. Forged are strong, light and cost more, cast are cheaper and heavier, on average. There exist rims that at like 8kg even in 18 inch sizes! Much want.

Also worth considering legality - overall track width (distance between the outside edges of left and right wheels) laws, tyre/rim size laws...

Opt 1. Get them drilled. Only an option if there's enough meat so talk to a wheel shop.

Opt 2. 25mm spacers with 5x114 in and x100 bolts. That's what I would do.
