Happened to me too, I ended up welding a steel ring on the end of mine and haven't worried about it since.

It will happen again too, not maybe ( I did two)

I was contemplating this !! Seems a little dodgy but if I could do it right, would turn out better then original. And cheaper too! Any tips? I think I'll give it a crack!!

It was pretty straight forward, the biggest issue is keeping the Plastic master cylinder cool while you weld it.

I wrapped it in a rag and sat it in water - slightly sketchy...

Do as P@ Said to keep the MC cool, Get it welded with a TIG so the heat is concentrated and controlled
