Just had a read there on the licences and I appears have no restrictions on what I can drive with me holding my licence for over 3 years. So you guys hit me with as many possibilities as you can would much appreciate it.

All my european mates who move here go straight for the utes - I suppose the inability to get them over there is a real winner when they come here.

Same probably goes for us and RS's or similar. I know so many guys who would swap their cars for an RS but there are so few of them here and so costly that they can't.

Hope you enjoy it here anyways mate, steer clear of Perth if money is an issue - stupid mining state makes costs of everything too high!

Read the Vic Spotted and Chat thread in regards to hwy, probably need to go back about 20 pages though to read what it's all about lol.

For 15k as a budget, and wanting an 8 cyl, I'm not sure what options there are. In WA, most XR8's are up around the 17k+ mark for some reason (there may be a few lower but they are stupid high kms). Haven't had a look in a while though so they may have come down.

Either way, if you test drive a B series XR8, and a B series XR6 Turbo, you'll quickly make up your mind over which one you'd prefer ;)

Got confused there when I said 15,000 that was gbp so about 22000 aud.

It'd be good to meet some of you fella's when I'm over there what the scene like do they take well to us pomms or is there some hostility haha.

I'll take your advice when I'm over there and test drive some motors.

$22k would be close to getting something like my ute, but it's nothing like golf. It's sh*tyourpants quick. Don't bother with an 8, buy a turbo 6!

Hwy/ cruise scene has a bit of everything in it. Take Pazzo, we don't discriminate against him too much.

Pazz is the passenger in this clip.

Welcome mate..good to see you're trying to plan everything now and save the headache of doing it when you arrive.

Lol @ henz sh*tyourpants quick..he's pretty much spot on with it compared to your car atm. What side of the road you drive on atm? Hahah

Hwy=highway=Friday nights, its the place to be for car enthusiasts. Have a bit of a social chin wag to begin with if weather not too cold then head off on the road. But colder air the better for the turbos+coolers

Also interested wtf the govt is up to importing workers...interesting..

Our govt is fcked too atm. Stupid ranga bitch with jah jah binks like ears

I would go an FG ute myself but if I wanted the whole package ready to go Henz seems to have dotted all the T's and crossed the I's.

And leave some jobs for us Kiwi's :)
