Hey all.

I know there is a thread on this but didn't really cover the main causes to what I read. my BA XR6T Auto is chewing through fuel,. Have reset the computer and still sits at 18-20l/100kmh. The car does have a boost problem- as in it is overboosting. Any ideas what it could be. I do hear a lot of air noise before the car overboosts and goes into limp mode- maybe a hose somewhere? any ideas?

I think u need to get it checked out asap, is it modded?

I got 16.8l/100 with 500rwhp city driving and a very heavy right foot as its only been 2 weeks since its been tuned and im loving it

Pretty standard- has a chip torque ecu, CAI and that is about it.

How many k's on it? Have u changed your o2 sensor? That'll help fuel consumption, as for your over boost I'd get it on a dyno ASAP and find out what's going on.

sounds like some idiot tuned that thing or some backyarder. chip touque ecu wtf ???

where do you live? so we will be able to point you in the right direction to someone who will fix this for you properly.

it susually like 100bux to get it run up on the dyno... ask them nicely and they should be able to tell you what the problem is.

That chip torque piggy back unit is what's most likely giving you the drama's.

Did you get the car tuned with it or just slap it on?

If you bought it second hand and just put it on then unplug it and see if it helps.

Take it to a tuner to have a proper look at it on a dyno.

Thanks guys. I brought the car second hand. The car is a 2003 BA with just under 100k o the clock. Really tidy car but really frustrating me at the moment. Yeah I have heard that the chip torque piggy back is a less than average piggy back. I would rather go to standard and then edit to be honest.

I live in Campbelltown. Really want to get this fixed and working so I can enjoy my weekend car the way it was intended.

Piggy-back was the only way 9 years ago, but yeah it has no place now.
