I just sold a 2010 model with 27k for 33k so that's what your 50k+ car will be worth in under 2 years. That's over 10k a year in value.

You make good points and they're all very valid. I think I'll be keeping the car for longer than a couple of years, the only thing I can see myself upgrading to would be an F6E down the track...

I went for a test drive in one today too. I was actually surprised, the salesman was more than happy when I asked, didn't care about my age or anything. He did say dealer policy wouldn't allow him to let me go alone, I'd have to talk to the Manager if I wanted that.

I've been a passenger in an XR6T but never driven one. Sales guy took us to a long back street and jeez, they go when you put your foot in, haha, the whine of the turbo...... The ZF is really good too, you could only tell it was changing gears if you were paying attention, unlike the Focus, i30, Jazz, Lancer and whatever else I've driven at work.

Drove well when off boost too, better than the Calais V I tested (yeah, the evil side, lol). Still smiling afterwards, lol

Depends where the car is you could get RACV, there are private guys who do it, or if close to a tuner you could pay them to look at it. Or like Paulie said, Pazzo car inspection's could be the way to go! Haha

Long story short. Im looking at selling the G6ET because FBT is a farkin ripp off($10,000)!!!! And seeing there is only two decent vehicles that are exempted worth owning, the new Ranger and the Amarok, I'm getting a few prices etc. Ford offered me..................wait for it............G6ET..........35,000KM..............50TH......all the fruit..................$24,000 trade in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
