March 5, 201214 yr #5 Get the proper tool and a heat gun, not that dear to buy. Then just go slow. The tool is goodFor pumping too. Unless you some experience, then doing it the old school way still works well.
March 5, 201214 yr #6 I did mine, had on hand a heat gun, guard roller and rubber mallet.I found the roller was hard to get started with the angle of the lip, so used the mallet to start it off. Then used the roller, after a certain point it was just trying to pump the guard out and wouldn't fold anymore, so I gave it some more love with the mallet.Had no problems with paint cracking.
March 5, 201214 yr #7 Its not that hard, I bought my own roller. I have done about ten cars now. Its just technique and making sure yet get the paint nice and hot. Don't rush take lots of small steps. If you're not sure just get a professional to do it as you can easily f_uck it up.
March 5, 201214 yr #10 go easy on the heat gun though, and dont hold it too farkin close, to speed up the heating process. keep it back abit if using high heat.
