Jack, I have been using the A1000 for 2 years, no issues.

Standard rail and reg with a walbro intank, apart from the noise I cannot fault it and it has served me well.

If I was in your situation I would just upgrade to an A1000 or maybe even try a Holley pump.

If you are going to add another 044 maybe consider a dual entry rail and an aftermarket reg.

have had 2 cars through the shop and between them they have had 6 A1000's, have another in the shop at the moment with a copy of the A1000, it started leaking before it even hit the dyno

So what do you recommend for Jack Mick?

Which is why I asked the question in the first place :)

If one can take the place of 2 we are halving our risk of failure basically. I don't actually find the 044 that noisy, anyone who comes for a ride in the car loves the buzz/prime on start up.

E85 is something that I am on a steep learning curve with. This thread has been excellent.

The holley pumps seem to be serving some of the forum member well as they boost activate the second unit/pump.

Fuelab do a good set-up in that their fuel pressure regulator is 'electronic' and monitors return flow.....the pumps are variable speed and are adjusted based on return. Great idea IMO as the fuel is being unnecessarily heated.

The German Piersburg pump is a good one and is E85 compatible with half the noise of a 044 yet flowing quite a bit more.
