By coincidence, I just yesterday finished reading through the monstrous threads from last time this happened with the X-Cal 1 and now I come across the same thing happening to the X-Cal 2.

While it may not be illegal, it's definitely dirty what they've done from an ethical business practices point of view...I feel sorry for the poor souls who'll get ripped off on eBay...

I've my XCal 2 for sale on the other forum, unbeknown to me I am told the XC2 no longer supports ZF equipped BF/FG Falcons...wtf???

All the more reason to switch to Sniper or HP Tuners. Not everyone wants the ZF reprogramming option, especially those with XC2 boxes. There was never any talk of XC2 being unusable when the discussion of ZF tuning was being had. I'm certain there is legal protection from a consumer perspective under relevant legislation, it would be a matter of investigating, then seeking compensation.

Like you said mate just boycott sct products if your that pissed. I did for other reasons, as im not even remotely interested in my zf getting tuned. Hp seems to be gaining monentum in australia and its only a matter of time until hp has all the same stuff as sct. And you can buy the hp software cheap, I just bought it for 950 bucks. Only slightly dearer than a xcal3 and you nevet get outdated as such with free software updates when they come out.

And you can easily buy credits on-line to tune other vehicles :locomotive:

Yeah that is the go apparantly, cant say 100% but I thought in the manual it said not to buy credits online and to contact hp australia directly. Cant remember if there a reason why, just skimmed over that part. Too much else to read haha

so I stumbled upon info that points to herrod letting the cat out of the bag about this in october - wonder when he told the tuners? wonder when SCT told herrod?

Wow what a dog move. Looks like I converted from ZF to manual just in time. Although it probably wont be long before they shut the xcal2 off completely. If they do that I am not upgrading to xcal3 and going to talk to my tuner about other options.

If there was a class action I would definitely put my name down as I'm sure a lot of others on this forum would.
