Thinking about starting a ZF rebuilding work shop.. Think we will see a few unhappy ZF's with these tunes now available.. Just like tuning are engines, there is a lot to learn about this new software and the tuning.. They have released some generic tunes and it is now up to the works shops to build on these and make improvements..

I'd least hope that you could have the best of both worlds, smooth, soft shifts when driving gently and a firmer,more positive shift when you're right up it.. Given the sophistication of the trans and its inherent capabilites, this should be approachable I'd imagine?

that's pretty much what im after. Something shifts nice and soft in normal driving and shifts harder when your on it.

Getting mine done on 3 October. Some don't seem to be happy with the 'hard' shift. I don't want it to bang in either so see how we go. Just really want to get rid of the hold in gear and fart plus firm it up a bit.

You can nearly get rid of the gear holding by just adjusting your driving style, only problem was it came back after the High Country cruise.

Yeah, it gets much worse after engine tune Dillz. Knew that and timed it (my engine tune) well now that I can get the trans done.

Fart is accessible in normal tuning outside of the ZF tables.

Zf tune done today. Went to get the car and heard it on the dyno? Hmmm, power run I thought. Turns out, my ZF serial number didn't match up with Herrods records. They had to make one up and email Hi-Torque so they could tune it. All good except the poor buggers then had go clear all my files and retune the engine also :O Only charged me for the ZF tune of course and she picked up another couple of killer wasps :newrussian:

Early impressions are good. Still hanging on a little longer than I'd like under light pedal on the upshift, but will let it settle for 100klms or so and see how it goes. Loud pedal - brilliant. Little tip. If you've had the fart removed, get ready for more wheel work, lol. It also seems a little slower on the kick-down. Again, will see how that goes after a bit. Early days and mine isn't an aggressive tune. I actually might get them to firm up 3 to 4 and 4 to 5.

Lol firm up 4th to 5th?? You'll be doing well over 200 to need it..

Does it still take about 1 and a half seconds to change in manual mode or does the tune make it more instant?
