Modding Your Fg Xr6 Turbo

What size cat to get for the stock fg turbo exhaust ? any got one some do,s and don'ts in regard to getting the best cat for my ute and what to spend ? The fullcat and pipe section looks like it would bolt straight in and out with old $500 on ebay ... But just the cat by it self , the ones you get for a $200 obviously have to be welded in hey ? Is there a particular length and diameter that is gonna keep the job nice and simple maybe ?

Venom 5" 100cpi bolt on, no welding, need a tune though.

I want to cut one of the mufflers out just to change the note of the car and yes I know it's means nothing for performance does anyone know which one to get rid off last one or middle one cheers

I am wondering if I could make my FG XR6 turbo sound better by removing the centre muffler? Would this harm the engine or performance?

Hey everybody, I'm new to this forum. My names Dan, and I recently picked up an fg xr6t ute! I'm starting to look into mods, to get to that magic 300 rwkw that everyone is chasing. I also want a quick spool up for that sucked into the back of the seat feeling, but I guess that's more down to the tuner!

The mods that I think I need are;

Xcal 3

Siemens 60lb injectors

Nizpro or plazmaman intercooler

Venom 5 " hi flow cat

Turbo side intake with battery relocation kit

And also the tune.

Can I get all this for around the $4500 mark or am I dreaming?

Also does anybody know how much it would be for boost, oil and voltmeter gauges to be supplied and fitted? I am after the factory look on top of the icc like the ss inductions one, but heard they were a bad fit, so if anybody knows any other companies that make them, can you let me know!

I put rough prices in, could be less, could be more. Depends on what you'll do yourself aswell but yea around the $5k figure for what you're looking at

turbo side intake + batt relocation is not a necessity at your power goal, K+N filter should suffice.

Yeah ok I just thought it would be better having 4" intake airflow and the sound! But if stocks still good, then maybe I should get a v8 airbox and drill the holes?

If I'm getting new injectors, do I need to get a new rail too?

Also where's a good place to get the xcal? Because I have seen them on ebay in a package with injectors, but it looks like it comes with a generic tune when I'm after a custom one? Unless you can use the generic one for custom too?

With the mods I said, what would be the expected power? Rough kind of figure, I know it depends on the dyno and that haha

Also with the cat.. would I be better off getting a 4" dump and 4" turbo side intake to help flow?
