Had that done some months ago (when I bought car). Since I have added a custom rear muffler removal, modified the airbox, and added a Monza cooler. Since I have done the muffler and cooler I thought that I should get it all checked out, as it was going heaps harder. That is AFR's just to be certain because I run the car on 95 ron. Well the results were interesting to say the least, had AFR of 11.8 (a little rich) and pushed out 248.9 rwkw or 333.7 rwhp (that spiked at 8.5 psi, but has no tune what so ever), now as many of you know that is a touch above flywheel hp ratings. Therefore if you have a BFII engine you can successfully do these mods without voiding warrantee or insurance I suspect. And get a whole lot more performance that will beat standard SS Commodores with the L98 (VE) this is proven. ALL up cost was $446 for KN filter ($73, $154 for rear Muffler, and $219) for Monza cooler. So it is cost effective, and will not smash your economy. The Monza cooler is much better than most say. It is far more effective than it is given credit for, but most importantly it allows you to upgrade in a space that is limited, Cheers.
Dillz Three pedals are better then two.. Be interesting to see what power it would make on 98 then 98 with a tune.

Impellor Member 835 Member For: 16y 1m 30d Gender: Not Telling Posted 01/08/11 04:19 AM Posted 01/08/11 04:19 AM (edited) Thought that some pics may help, From my experience these mods have allowed the engine to breathe, it was the law of psyhics that allowed me to carry out this project, and a basic understanding of the factory ECU. If you do this mod you will not see any lights on the dash, and you will see also improved fuel consumption if you can keep your foot off the throttle. The changes made are in alignment with Honeywell USA, so that you remain within the most efficient parameters of this engine configuration. So therefore, it may be considered that this represents the best bang for your buck. I challenge anyone to find better FULL STOP. That is $13.5 a KW Edited 01/08/11 04:23 AM by Dillz Embedded pictures
