What 1/4 Mile Times Do You Get On Standard Injectors?

I went to the drags last night for the first time ever and was getting 12.8s (once I turned the aircon off...DOHH!!)in my XR6T BF Mk2 6 speed auto 2007 sedan. It has a HDi intercooler and a tune and that's it. Picked up 78RWKW from the tune from Van Nes Performance. I plan to install a rising rate fuel regulator and maybe a plenum and under battery cold air intake.

Just wondering what performance other people are getting on the standard injectors and what mods have been done?

I was flattening out a bit after half way and crossing the line at 175.35kmh

I would say your injectors will be in a desperate need of replacement as they would be at the limit.

280rwkw is about the safest limit with standard injectors.

So what injector options/sizes am I looking at for good gains without having to upgrade anything else? I just don't want it to grow arms and legs at this stage.

I also do a lot of slow driving in traffic.

I opted for a set of 42lb Bosch green tops as they were offered cheap and they are good for low 300rwkw which was my aim. Working very nicely for me! Also due to being better at idle fuelling but I am a bit pedantic. Hear cold starts on Nizpro drilled 72lb can be bad, and dekas aren't as good at idle either. 42lbers got me a high 11 in street trim, very happy.

If you want more power though you may as well go 60lb Siemens Dekas. Also come up cheap on the forum often.

Cheers for the quick answer. They (the 42lb Bosch green tops) sound like exactly what I'm after. Do I need to upgrade anything else like the fuel pump or just go for a re-tune? Also can you give me an idea of the maximum boost setting to save my tuner some time?

I've always been told you should do the fuel pump in sedans at the same time. It's not very expensive and good security. Nay aswell do a highflier cat while your at it though
