Took about 8 months to get there but I got it. They got the guy from ZF to come out and reprogram the computer and but that was only after countless trips there where they replaced my diff and diff oil and tried telling me countless times there was nothing wrong. Do a search for jag lurch on google and provide that to them as proof that something is wrong.Ben Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/70894-zf6-problem-fg-f6/page/6/#findComment-1145114 Share on other sites

Might have to look into the zf tuning side of things.Ben Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/70894-zf6-problem-fg-f6/page/6/#findComment-1145115 Share on other sites

legal_intent Member 4 Member For: 13y 5m 3d Posted 02/04/12 10:18 AM Share Posted 02/04/12 10:18 AM I notice my FG XRT6 has symptoms very similar to the variant 2 described in the jag article. If I'm travelling very slowly and accelerate it hesitates, and then drops into 1st gear. When I come to a stop the car stays in second and doesnt down change to first. When I go to take off it hesitates - stall up then drops back to first. It does this with a big clunk. Driving me nuts..In manual mode its not there just in D and Perf mode...Have a zf tune but still does it.The zf box is sh*tting me to tears.. Its a XFT built box and it always done random sh*t..When cold it hesitated 2 to 3rd shift change..thinking I might dump the oil and see if that fixes any problems.. Also gear shifts in D when on WOT are very doey even with a ZF tune...Almost like a sling shot feeling..Was very snappy when I got the tune done but now its all over the shop again.. Ive re flashed the trans tune numerious times but still does it...Anyone know if there is a way to reset the trans shifting pattern..Disconnect the battery ???? Drove on for the first time on the weekend, 09 FG XR6T with 100k kms, seemed fine to me. Certainly a lot less clunky than a manual, seemed like a fantastic gearbox. My last car was manual, and it was f*cking terrible. Clunky as all hell, replaced diff, cv joints, tailshaft, diff bushes, everything I could think of. That's the reason I was looking at getting an auto, if they're just as bad might as well get a Holden.
