if you can, source E100 ... its cheaper, and mix it yourself with 98ron :)

just be aware that ethanol is hygroscopic (absorbs moisture) so if your going to buy in bulk keep it sealed or use it quick

yep and store the drum on wood or a tyre. it cant be left on the ground as it absorbs water through the base

donno depends what the tuner tells me lol.

but I hear the e85 from southland clogs up systems. And my mate in his 7sec torana used it for a while till his fuel system was rawted.

Im sure people have tood and bad experiences.

If worse comss to worse, ill just rock up to southland with the barrel and fill it up. Ill see how we go.

Its not necessarily the supplier that is causing the clogs, it can be the effect ethanol has on tradition petrol filters and lines - you basically have to run alcohol filters and lines when running E85 and up. If your mate with the Torana was running a leaded fuel previously he may have still ran the same filters and destroyed them - just like what happened to 2MUCHHP from XFT

he works for efi spares and ran 7.91 @ 191mph, I think he knows what fuel lines he needed :P And its a corolla not a torana.

But yeah for our cars, might be different story as to what lines / filters etc need replacing

Senna is correct in what he says, our production cars in australia can not normally use E85 because of the damage it can do to the fuel system, this is changing as it becomes more popular, why do you think most manufacturers will only recommend E10.
