thanks guys for your info much appreciated, 1 inch seems like a good amount to go to, anyone got pics of there car in its lowered form, ill be keen to see. chislak your set up sounds like what im after what di it cost u? anyone of u guys in the sydney cbd or chatwood area id be keen to have a look at your setup ill repay u with a ride in mine after my aps upgrade and my brakes are also worth checking out.

I lowered mine with Kings springs by Big O Tyres in Moorebank. I paid about $450. Not much difference in ride quality. Here's what it looks like.

I had mine lowered with the Herrod suspension kit from the dealer as one of my options. The ride quality is pretty smooth IMO. Alot less harsh than the old pulsar SSS lowered suspension which was bounce bounce bounce.. Oh and the car handles like a dream. Unfortunatly, I cant compare it to the standard suspension setup, because I haven't driven a T that wasn't lowered.

Only draw back with the lower suspension is that some slow, angled driving is needed not to scrape some layed back curbs and speed humps. Oh and I always try to turn of a lay back curbe to left. If I go right, the exhaust tip will almost always scrape (had a thud yesterday.. doh).

I had the Herrod kit fitted yesterday.

Notice almost no difference in ride quality around town.... as it uses progressive rate springs.

Done by Thompson Ford in Parramatta, who now do Herrod work, even gave me a loner car while the work was being done...also they did some warranty check work for noted defects .... so great service, and the car looks heaps better lowered.

Purchased Kings Springs at a show special price of $100 a pair for front and rear. Installed & 4 wheel alignment on 3 days ago.

Result is that the body dropped 30mm lower both at the front and the rear. Also informed that it will further sag an additional 5~10mm with time (I don't know how much time or how many kms).

Driving impressions: only very marginal increase in ride harsness over corrigated tarred road surfaces, otherwise no change in rid comform. Looks heaps better than standard. Corners alot flatter, much less body roll.

Pain in the ar$e: layback gutters (similar to what is going into most new subdivisions nowadays). OK driving up them front-first from the road into the driveway, at an angle. But, going front-first from the driveway onto the road is crap (at any angle of approach). I now bottom out with the mud spats getting all scrunched-up. Will not be long before the screws get pulled out or the spat get pulled off. (I really don't have the option of just always reversing out of the driveway as it is approximately 200m long & services several houses).

I'm not sure exactly how much it came down, but it was a little more at the front than the back, which gives it a pretty good stance IMO.
