Well with MUCH thanx to a forum member on another forum who posted and extremely simple and effective way to disable this crappy feature, it is finally disabled.

This is 100% tested, working and reversible with no mods needed. I didnt think it would work like that silly "cycling the key" suggestion but to my surprise it does, takes 10 seconds to do

Suggest as this comes up HEAPS that it gets a very well deserved sticky and the person responsible for posting it below gets much adoration and praise

Have you checked to see if it is permenant and not just until you turn the car off ?

more important have you checked that this doesn't also disable the airbag function for that seat as well ,

I was going to disable the one on my Navara work ute because I am allways doing short trips off road and the seat belt is anoying , but was told by a couple of mechanics that it will probably disable the air bag also, so they wouldn't recommend doing it

I tried it in my FG, it did turn it off but the next time I started the car the seltbelt chime was back.

Woked for me.

in the plant we just buckle the passenger belt into the driver's buckle - I guarantee I've heard the beep beep more than you guys!

lol...you better remember to re-enable it before sending them out or there'll be a few confused dealers

I'd never use this in plant mate - you jump in and out of that many cars there's no point or time to buckle/unbuckle umpteen times just to make it stop making noise.

I can see the not built as ordered claims now!
