Surge Tanks

A surge is good even on a car at stock power level, I've seen them surge at even a 1/3 of a tank on long sweeping corners.

I agree with above, people spend heaps on coolers, injectors, tyres etc etc, but don't want a surge tank as its not giving them any extra power etc.

Like mick has said you can make 300rwkw on stock cooler and injectors, would he recommend it, not at all! Similar thing with fuel pump.

I'm thinkin 1000's to leave the door open to E85 later down the track, If they can be had at a reasonable price that is.

May aswell do pump & surge too then

Yeah, those are the ones that filled my pump pot with rubber

Here's my set-up

I know it's not perfect size wise but all the hoses are secure where there's pressure.

The rubber would of rubbed off the hose and then into pot, yours might be doing the same but the rubber will just fall onto the ground and eventually rub through the hose.

well I have used the correct rated hoses and clamps, it is safe, and that's what matters

As long as it's the correct hose for the speedfit fittings it doesn't even need clamps. I think my hose was close to $40 a meter and a hell of a job to push on even using a vice. Must be running ~80psi.

Looks like a nice functional set-up anyways

yeh, the hose was bloody dear, and your right it was a hell of a job getting the hose over the fittings, I remember thinking I hope its right coz this hose isnt coming off, and the tank and fittings were pressure tested to 110psi for 5mins in a bucket of water, no bubbles no pressure drop
