Reading this thread has taught me a few things:

- There is always someone quicker

- No matter how much of a d1ckhe@d you think someone is, there will always be a bigger tool just around the corner

- Kiwis believe (possibly rightly so) that NZ is the Skyline capital of the world - just ask them!

- Seemingly intelligent and articulate people can be incapable of logical thought when they're wound up in an argument!

In short - and I'm sure deep down there really ISN'T an answer - I've not really learned anything significant in relation to the topic!

Oh and re whomever it was comparing the relatively simlar-costing 8 y/o Skyline vs FG F6... you may want to consider what $60k was worth in 2000 vs what it's worth these days!

Agreed!

Could always change the thread topic to "How long is a piece of string?" Can I go first?

Seeing as though speed is relative to how many mods you have performed the only real way to compare cars is in their stock form. In which case:

stock xr6t > stock non-turbo skyline

stock xr6t > stock turbo skyline

stock xr6t < stock GTR skyline

The pretty much applies to all models of either.

I have a piece of string that is 204mm long - can I mod it so that it will be better than your 305mm piece?

How long do you reckon it'll end up once I've modded it?

I have some Edelbrock string extenders going up as a group buy soon if you are interested Ron, you will be looking at least a 60-80cm increase with a custom loom
